You don't really have any control over whether or not some predator decides to mug you or assault you. While it is true that presenting a certain image of confidence and awareness can deter many predators from seeing you as an easy target, you really have no assurance that some low-life will not try to attack you for whatever reason.

You can't rely on the enemy not coming. The only thing that you really have total control over is whether or not you will be ready, if and when someone does decide to attack you.

How do you make yourself unassailable and ready to repel an attack from a predator? To start with, make sure you have not neglected your training. Keeping up with your training will continue to keep your self-confidence in your martial arts skills high. This self-confidence will shine through and will not only serve as a deterrence for predators, but will also make them rethink their decision should they actually confront you.

I know that I have said it before, but it is worth repeating ad nauseam. Be aware of your surroundings. This is probably the most important factor in making yourself unassailable.

If you allow a predator to catch you by surprise, you have put yourself at an automatic disadvantage. Take nothing for granted; make yourself as ready as possible.
